Tom was predeceased by his brother Bobby Sadowski who died in 2000.

A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, January 7, 2013 at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner.  Burial will be private at a later date.

Please accept my sincere condolences. I worked with Tommy a very long time ago and he made it a better place to work. After many years we met up again when I worked at the Post Office in Templeton and he'd come in for JBM - it was nice to catch up and joke with him whenever he came in. He was such an upbeat person he just made everyone smile along with him. He will truly be missed.

Our sincerest condolences and sympathy to Tom's family. Tom was a truly genuine person, with a heart as big as his smile. Having known Tom since I was about 6, when he bagged my penny candies for me, from the front window display at Teddie's, we were so saddened to learn of his passing. His warm smile and hello would greet our son each morning in the school yard, and always put a smile on his face. A kind and caring soul who was a friend to all around him. We were truly privileged to have Tom in our community, and all the better for having known him.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of such a wonderful man. Having taught Micheal and Hannah in preschool, Tom would often drop off donuts from the bakery for us to eat as a treat for no special reason. He also shared my love for Disney World and listened as I excitedly rattled on about my family's first trip back in 2005. I've never met such a consistently positive person! My heart aches for his family left behind, and I pray for their comfort and peace.

Little Tommy was a speech student of mine at Waterford Street School early in my career. He showed kindness and worked hard to please me and he did.Through the years he never forgot me and was always so pleasant to me when we met at the Gardner Museum or I saw him at Stanley's Lunch often with his brother, Gregg. This world has lost a most gentle spirit who in spite of his looming size was always, and will forever be my little Tommy...a good Scout and a great man.

From so far away now, Kate and I want to say that although we haven't seen Tommy for some time now, we both know that we will miss him forever nonetheless. He, like the entire Sadowski family, was a giving and thoughtful person who gave of his time and treasure freely and without restriction. He was one of the truly good people.

I was shocked and deeply saddened to learn of Tommy's passing. I first met Tommy back in the 1980's when I relocated to Gardner, right near his parent's store in the Polish Patch.
He always had a ready smile, and was a good friend. During my pregnancy with my daughter Emily, he would bring me donuts, and tea, and we would spend time chatting during the long winter months.
Knowing how much I missed "home", Tommy would bring me sauce from the North End of Boston when he ate dinner there.
He always had a kind word, and a warm hug for anyone.
He was happiest when he married his wife, bought his home on the hill, and had his kids. We did not see each other as often as time went by, I moved to Athol, we were both busy with our families, but when we did, it was like no time had passed.
I live in NC now, and will not be able to make the service, but offer my deepest sympathy to all of Tommy's family. There will never be another like him, and the world will shine a little less brightly with him no longer in it.

I was deeply saddened to read of Tom's passing. I know he fought a long battle and wanted nothing more than to be here with his family and children. It has taken me a while to compose what to write. There are so many memories of growing up at 'camp' with Tommy or the millions of times I was at the house in Gardner. His parents and mine were such great friends. Tommy got his big heart from his mom for sure. We fought like brother and sister whenever we were together when we were young. I even remember a long car ride from PA with him and all we did was bicker in the back seat and his mom had to separate us! As adults we didn't see much each other but when we did, it was like we had been best friends for years! Tom, I will miss you yelling across Stop and Shop when you would see me in the store. I will miss the fact he was always asking how my mom was and my kids and grandsons. To Greg and Sandy, I am sorry you have to lose another brother and family member. TO Chris, Hannah, and Michael, I am so sorry for your lose of a good husband and great dad. I know that he is watching over all of you and would have done anything to stay here with you!

Tommy,
This past week has been a horrible blur. Together we learned to walk as a couple and then a family. Now, I am trying to learn how to walk alone. Please guide me through the days ahead that I make the best decisions for the kids. For you were always my sounding board. Bless me with the courage and grace that you had so that the kids and I have the strength to face each day without hesitation. I never told you how important you were to me. You have left a void in my heart that will never heal. Thank you for the life we had together. You made me smile, laugh, cry and of course get mad. But, at the end of everyday you were loved and cherished. God gave me a gift when I met you. I will love you forever. Please watch down over us.
Forever my love,

I grew up around the corner from the Sadowskis. We all thought the big brick house with the horse on the fron was so cool! Over the years I ran into Tom from time to time and always had great conversations. Six years ago, Tom and my daughter Amanda were undergoing chemo at the same time. So, every other Tuesday, we met in the oncology unit and talked, laughed, and cried while they both received treatment.

You fought long and hard Tom. Now rest, rest peacefully and without pain.

God's peace and prayers to your family, Sue (Newton) Cringan

Chris, Michael, and Hannah:
I saw Tom and Michael last winter when they were picking up parts at CAT. Tom saw me first and called me over. While looking me straight in the eye, he asked how my family and I was doing. That was so like Tommy to be more concerned about how I was than to complain about his own illness and suffering. He is one of the strongest yet kindest people I've known. I feel very lucky to have been his friend. God Bless.

Chris: I just read of Tom's passing. I was so shocked and I am so sad. I will always remember meeting you at my first Pallet meeting at Disney World. Tom was such a great guy and so well liked by all. I am happy to have had the chance to meet both of you. Please know that so many cared about Tom and care about you and the children. God Bless

We just learned today of Tom's death, and wish to share our condolences. He was wonderfully kind and friendly, and will be missed by many in the community. Our hearts go out to the Sadowski family.

Chrissy,

You have to know that you Tom knew how important he was to you. What you wrote was so sad to think you might carry that burden of worrying that you never told Tom. He loved you and your children so much and I am sure he knew how important he was to you. That made me cry more than learning of Tom's passing. Guess we really need to tell people here on earth what they mean to us, even though I am sure he knew, it would help you feel a little less sad now if you had.

Prayers to you and your family that you find peace. To Greg and Sandy too! Keep remembering all of the funny, good times.
